Metro Diner OC

Solid old school diner. Friendly and accommodating staff. Reasonable prices. The building is old and some furnishings are pretty worn out, as anyone who appreciates a mid 20th century diner should expect.

Reminds me of Waffle House. Small 24/7 diner. Affordable prices. Food was good. Not great/not bad. Service was to be expected when it reminds me of Waffle House which is mediocre service. Nothing outstanding about this place. Many tables were not cleaned but they also had plenty of clean tables. 3.75% feet added to all credit cards so I used cash Juke box available to purchase songs to play. If not, it’s very quiet which takes away from the vibe. Best for breakfast hours. Overall, I enjoyed coming here instead of fast food establishments.

The atmosphere is small townish. About 15 tables maybe. Not that many. The waitresses are friendly and fast. The food is kind of bland but the prices are so affordable. The cook does not use gloves or a hairnet so eat at your own risk. Parking is limited but there's not that many tables so makes sense. Just consider it if you want to take big groups there.

This was my first time eating here and it was delicious I loved every bit of it I would definitely recommend this place for breakfast they have other things other than breakfast on the menu but I haven’t tried it but breakfast is very good and it’s affordable too

This place was Pitt Grill when I was growing up. Since changing to Metro Diner, I had good visits and 1 horrible visit being that my family was completely ignored on a so-so busy day. We left unattended and did not come back for months!!! However, that one bad memory should never hold back the good memories with good waitresses and past awesome cooks who cook with love. Today was a mediocre day with the cook, the waitress was pretty good. My eggs had some browning and not so fluffy like the old cook who once cooked eggs with love. The days of waitress calling you honey, dear, sweetie are out the door and met with half dead looks and the attitude of winding the time down till their shift is done. Sometimes a younger lady will be there but not for long. The hamburgers if you want to call it that, look more like cathead biscuits with small sausage patties. The burgers used to be out of this world. I am still have hopeful about this place but must concede to the fact that it's glory days are way behind them. If anyone thinks this place is out of this world, you might wanna make an appointment with your neurologist!!!
